According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO) on February 4 for the World Cancer Day, the cause of 8.8 million deaths globally in 2015 was cancer.
According to who’s report, nearly one out of six people in the world died of cancer, while 70 percent of these deaths were in low-income and middleincome countries.
The figures are not promising: considering that there are about 14 million new cancer cases in 2012, new cancer cases may increase by 70 percent in the next 20 years.
According to the organization’s report, only one in five low-income and middleincome countries can access the data needed to combat cancer. The main way to fight cancer is to develop early detection mechanisms.
